Privacy policy

Which personal data are processed when you visit this website, for what purpose, and what rights you have.

This is a courtesy translation. The German version is legally binding.

Controller

The controller responsible for this website is Dr Scherzer und Dr Scherzer, GesBR, HEALTH FOR LIFE, Pulverturmgasse 22, 1090 Wien. Telephone +43 (0)1 916 - 5 - 916, email office@healthforlife.at.

Data processed in the course of an examination or treatment are the independent responsibility of the respective doctor or therapist of the group practice. This privacy policy covers the website only.

Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Webdock.io ApS in Denmark (EU). With every request, the server stores technically necessary information: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system.

These data are used solely to operate the website securely and reliably and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in doing so (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are kept only as long as necessary for this purpose and are not combined with other data.

Contact by telephone or email

When you call or write to us, we process your details to handle your request, such as an appointment request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If your message contains health data, we process them solely for the provision of health care (Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR). Please do not send medical reports by unencrypted email.

Online appointment booking

For online booking we link to the booking systems used by the individual doctors (meineakte, Latido). These open on the providers' websites; your data are only collected there. The privacy notices of the respective provider and practice apply.

Cookies and consent

On your first visit we ask whether you consent to measurement with Google Ads. We store your decision in your browser's local storage (entry "hfl-consent") so that we do not ask again on every page. This entry is technically necessary and contains only "granted" or "denied".

Without your consent, this website sets no cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Google Ads conversion tracking

We advertise on Google and want to know whether our ads lead to appointment requests. For this we use Google Ads by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Only clicks on the telephone number, the email address and online booking are measured — not what you write or book afterwards.

With your consent, Google sets cookies (e.g. "_gcl_au") that allow such a click to be attributed to an ad you clicked earlier. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021).

Without your consent, no cookies are set. We use Google's consent mode: Google then only receives cookieless, non-personalised notifications of a page view or click (time, page, where applicable the ad identifier from the address bar, browser details) and uses them solely for statistical estimates. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the success of our advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). More on data processing by Google: policies.google.com/privacy and business.safety.google/privacy.

Links to other websites

This website links to external services such as Instagram, Facebook, DocFinder, OpenStreetMap or the websites of individual doctors. These are plain links, not embedded content: data are only transmitted once you click such a link. From then on, the provider's privacy notices apply.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

Please contact office@healthforlife.at. If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
